55 things to do while stuck inside during Coronavirus

These are interesting times for all of us. But that doesn’t mean we should let the time pass by without making the most of it. Here are some interesting ways to make use of your time during the pandemic:

  1. Write a letter to a loved one
  2. “Adopt” someone in a nursing home 
  3. Paint 
  4. Learn a new language
  5. Dive deeper into your heritage 
  6. Make a detailed family tree
  7. Craft DIY home decorations
  8. Learn an instrument
  9. Or practice an old instrument
  10. Start a new hobby
  11. Study geography
  12. Read International news on the places you discovered during your geography studies 
  13. Put a puzzle together
  14. Write in a journal 
  15. Ask a family member to share a fun story and make a book of family stories
  16. Have a spa day – face masks, foot scrubs! 
  17. Plan a candlelit dinner date (even by yourself!) 
  18. Make a fort and watch movies 
  19. Play a board game 
  20. Sort through your closet
  • Make new outfits and take pictures for when you need some inspo (if you need help, let me know!) Determine what you haven’t worn in the past year & if it’s worth keeping and what’s sentimental enough to keep but maybe doesn’t need to be taking up space in your closet. 
  1. Facetime, Skype or Zoom a friend you haven’t seen in a while
  2. Take a bubble bath
  3. Pull out those old home videos from when you and your parents were young
  4. Cook or bake something completely new 
  5. Try a Master Class

  4. Print out photos and scrapbook

  8. Make a vlog every day documenting what you’re doing and how you feel during this time
  9. Find those missing socks and throw out the rest
  10. Practice yoga 
  11. Plant flowers in the yard
  12. Find new ways to style your hair
  13. Meditate 
  14. Give your dog a bath
  15. Plan a vacation for when you’re allowed to travel again
  16. Cross something off your To-Do list you know you’re never going to get done
  17. Pick up your favorite book that you haven’t read in a while
  18. Draw
  19. Look for career development opportunities 
  20. And don’t forget, you can still spend time outside 
  21. Remove any songs on your phone you don’t listen to anymore
  22. Find ways to volunteer and give back from home 
  23. Participate in one (or multiple) of the millions of social media challenges 
  24. Forgive someone (even if they aren’t in your life anymore) 
  25. Camp in your backyard
  26. Find a new dance to try on YouTube
  27. Better yet, have a dance party with your friends
  28. Have a family reunion over Zoom or the phone
  29. Learn one new fun fact about your kids, S.O. or loved ones
  30. Go stargazing (there’s a meteor shower happening right now!)
  31. Make a list of things to do the next time you’re bored!
