I want to start off by saying that this is not just about teeth whitening results. For a long time, I’ve struggled with my teeth (read below) and have done everything to feel more confident with my own smile. My teeth whitening experience with Smile Brilliant has done just that! The Backstory.
Ever since I was young, I’ve been incredibly self-aware about my teeth. My baby teeth didn’t start coming in until I was one, which is late for the average baby. It caused some of my adult teeth to grow in behind my baby ones, many molars came in late and
Many of my adolescent thoughts were focused around how terrible my teeth looked and felt. I was uber aware of other kids looking at my teeth, so much so that I covered my mouth anytime I laughed (which was a lot) and didn’t even notice until a kid in class made fun of me for doing so. I hated smiling and my grade school pictures reflected that.
Finally, I got braces and realigned my smile. It was the first step in what would be a life-changing experience for me. I learned how it felt to feel comfortable in my own skin (or rather, with my own teeth).
My attention then shifted to what I could do next about my teeth: whitening.
My teeth-whitening experiments
I tried everything I could possibly manage (and afford) to get my teeth whitened. I tried endless amounts of whitening toothpastes, even buying the more expensive ones that come with two steps. I tried baking soda and hydrogen peroxide and an orange peel (I saw it on TV – I was desperate to try anything!) I also tried those beloved whitening strips that are “supposed to provide amazing results for such a cheap price.” Never worked for me. I angrily threw out yet another product that didn’t give me what I was looking for.
I was jealous of anyone that could afford to go to the dentist to get their teeth whitened. I was about to give up when I found Smile Brilliant.
My experience with Smile Brilliant
Naturally, I was skeptical, again, of any whitening product but after doing some research, I decided to give it a try.
It was so exciting when the box finally arrived in the mail! Inside it, you’ll find a few syringes filled with whitening gel, two plastic molding pieces, putty to make the mold and if you choose, syringes with desensitizing gel.
The process for Smile Brilliant is filling out a form, molding your retainers for the whitening gel, sending the package back in and waiting for them to ship out your finished retainers. I had a little too much fun with the molding process.

Tip: make sure to grab a few extra paper towels during the molding process. If you’re like me, you will have a bit of saliva buildup from holding the putty in your mouth.
Each night, you fill the retainers will gel and leave them on your teeth for 1-3 hours, depending on what kind of results you need or want. I varied my time and found I was happy with the results either way.
The results
I was blown away by the results after the very first use. The next morning, I practically danced around town, teeth beaming, showing everyone my new results. I felt confident!
Of course, I continued using the product so I could have the long-lasting results I’ve always wanted. My teeth not only look whiter, but I never experienced any issues with sensitivity like you can after many teeth whitenings. Also, a lot of other products I used had a terrible taste to them but I never noticed any issues with Smile Brilliant.
The biggest difference, though, is what I mentioned above. I’ve never used a teeth whitening product that gave me results that I could feel confident about. After a lifetime of struggling with my teeth, I finally feel like I’m happy with them!
